Day 1: Hanoi to Phu Yen
Begin your thrilling Vietnam motorbike tour by escaping the hustle of Hanoi on scenic backroads and light dirt tracks. We cruise past the Dong Quang Bridge and ride alongside the peaceful Da River, surrounded by a sea of lush paddy fields on the way to Thanh Son town.

After lunch in Thanh Son, we’ll visit a picturesque tea plantation – perfect for stunning photos and a peaceful break. Continuing our journey, we follow National Road 32 through vibrant rice paddies, then detour onto National Road 37, winding through Thu Cuc and over the scenic Con Pass before reaching Phu Yen. If you’re up for more action, optional off-road trails in the afternoon will test your skills.

Day 2: Phu Yen to Tram Tau
From the quiet town of Phù Yên, our journey continues toward Tà Xùa, an emerging gem for those with a spirit of discovery. With its cool climate and untouched landscapes, Tà Xùa has become famous for a unique natural feature: ‘The Dinosaur Backbone of Tà Xùa’—a short but challenging off-road trail that rewards the brave with a one-of-a-kind panoramic view at its peak. Leaving Tà Xùa behind, we ride northward along Road 114, a route filled with thrilling twists and turns and surrounded by breathtaking scenery—making every kilometer a joy to conquer.

Tonight, we’ll stay in Trạm Tấu, a small mountain town that still preserves the raw, untouched beauty of Vietnam’s Northwest highlands. Surrounded by terraced rice fields, majestic mountains, and winding rivers—Trạm Tấu is also known for its natural hot springs, a perfect way to relax after a long day on the road. Though it’s not a major tourist hotspot, this hidden gem is well worth the visit, especially for rugged bikers like us who appreciate the charm of the lesser-traveled path

Day 3: Tram Tau to Vu Linh (Thac Ba lake)
Leaving Tram Tau behind, we kick off the day with a fun off-road section to get the adrenaline flowing. We then follow the winding Road 174 towards Nghia Lo, where we stop for a coffee break. From Nghia Lo, we continue along Highway 32 through Van Chan. If time allows, we’ll stop at a local stone workshop where you can browse handcrafted souvenirs made by local artisans.

In the afternoon, a scenic backroad takes us through Yen Bai City and onwards to Vu Linh. Along the way, we can visit Thac Ba Hydropower Dam, one of the first major hydropower projects built in Northern Vietnam.
Tonight, we stay in Vu Linh, a peaceful Dao ethnic village on the shores of beautiful Thac Ba Lake, the first hydropower reservoir in Northern Vietnam. We wrap up another fantastic day with a relaxing boat trip on the lake, a refreshing swim, and an ice-cold beer. After a cozy home-cooked dinner with our host family, we’ll enjoy a traditional music and dance performance by local Dao women—an unforgettable way to experience the rich culture and warm hospitality of the locals. Day 4: Vu Linh back to Hanoi
We say goodbye to our wonderful hosts and set off on our final ride. For those still craving a bit more action, we can sneak in one last off-road trail to cap off the adventure.

Cruising through rural backroads of Phu Tho Province, we pass peaceful villages and scenic farmlands before reaching Son Tay. Here, we enjoy a relaxing lunch near the iconic Red River.
The final stretch leads us back to bustling Hanoi, ending this unforgettable 5-day Vietnam motorbike adventure. With dirt-covered gear, full memory cards, and wide grins, we wrap up the journey of a lifetime.
